«Food as medicine»

IIn Ayurveda, nutrition is one of the most important methods of maintaining and restoring health, alongside manual therapy, and cleansing (Panchakarma). Food and spices are considered medicine. The most important principle of nutrition in the Ayurvedic sense is to always adjust the diet to the individual person, their respective needs and digestive power.

Ayurveda assumes that 40% of all diseases can be avoided if the correct diet is implemented for the individual. For another 40%, nutrition in combination with other therapies is helpful.
